Opening Microsoft Excel file (.xls)

Hi,

I am having a trouble opening ms excel file in the new version of openoffice 2.2 when opening excel file using openoffice 2.2 calc the openoffice opens up and then after a while suddenly it will close the whole application , but when i try opening ir in the lower version of openoffice 2.0 it goes well can someone help me



Please help.
